At their October 5, 2018 Board Meeting, the MichUHCAN Board of Directors voted unanimously to support the efforts of the Huron Valley/DMC nurses in their 2 year battle to get a fair contract that addresses unfair labor practices, hospital transparency, nurse to patient ratios, workplace injuries, wages and overtime practices. The Board remains deeply concerned about the length of the negotiations and the lack of progress in solving critical patient safety issues. The Board will continue to monitor the situation and undertake support actions deemed appropriate, if issues are not settled in the near future.
