RNs Demand Medicaid Expansion for a Healthier Michigan

Capitol Steps, Lansing

Michigan Senators chose to go on vacation rather than take a vote to expand Medicaid. Less than 24 hours after the Senate recessed for the summer, Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville was hosting his annual $400 per person walleye fishing fundraiser. By ignoring the health needs of our patients – who include veterans, the working poor, and the disabled – the Senate left 400,000 Michigan citizens on the hook. Illness doesn’t take a vacation. Neither should these legislators until they’ve returned to the Capitol and voted to expand Medicaid! Come join us! For more information, contact Cameron Fure at
